Logos with a Heraldic Crest Resemblance:
The Peugeot Logo:
The Peugeot Logo resembles a Heraldic Crest. The lion insignia used in this logo is often seen in the older crests. The reason that this logo has so much appeal for car owners is the fact that the Lion is a symbol of strength and leadership as well as power and elegence. A real predator.
In this respect, viewers will associate this majestic beast with the cars that are sold by Peugeot and this may influence them to buy cars from this particular car dealer.
Nui Maynooth Logo:
This isn't so much a logo as a school emblem. But I thought that it deserved a mention. The sheild design projects an idea of safety and security. Strength is protrayed by the castle walls in the lower red portion of the shield. The feather quill is representative of learning. and the blue is symbolic of sports.
The way this logo portrays the school makes the impression that the school is a safe haven for students, however it is not a place that will promote slacking off. It is about moving forward and learning. This would definately appeal to parents considering sending their children to this school.
NRL Logo:
Ah yes, the NRL Logo. Everybody loves good old football. I think that what makes this appeal to the viewers of this symbol is the fact that it is the shape of a shield.
As I mentioned early, shields protray a sense of strength and security. Also, I think that the thick lines used in this particular symbol portray the idea of strength. This may may the viewer believe that this league is one of the stronger football leagues.
The arrows used in the image protray a sense of movement, representing the ball speeding towards the goals as such. The reason that this logo would appeal to it's viewers is because it represents the Footy League so well, and makes them believe that it will be long standing, and full of movement.
